Darwin, Australia to Cape Town

The start of October saw Paul in Darwin on a beautiful sunny beach. They witnessed some of the local wildlife including Comodo dragons, pigs, monkeys, and whale sharks to name a few.

A trip to Lombok Zoo became an interesting adventure and change of scenery prior to sailing to Christmas Island where they experienced the migration of 150 million crabs.

They then travelled 530 miles to Cocos Island for a short stop before setting off on an impressive 2,400 mile trip to Mauritius.

November has been the month of mileage for Paul as he and the crew arrived in Mauritius making the most of the lovely weather for a few days of rest and recuperation.

They moved onto La Reunion for two days but had to leave early due to Storm Becky before embarking on their 1,000 mile trip to Durban, South Africa.

Gale force winds on arrival to Durban. After a couple of days recuperating from the winds, they again set off on a 4 day sail to Cape Town. The temperature has noticeably dropped over the last few days.

After rounding the Cape of Good Hope, they arrived safely into Cape Town ready for the festive season!
