I am excited to share some recent developments in my Judo journey. On August 18th, I competed in the Valencia Super Cup in Spain. For this event, I decided to challenge myself by competing in the -100kg weight category, instead of my usual -90kg. My aim was to use this competition as a practice event in preparation for the Croatia Grand Prix mid September. By competing in the higher weight category, I was able to avoid the stress of cutting weight, as well as reduce the expectations and pressures, allowing me to focus on my performance.
I am pleased to report that the event was a success. I won the gold medal and, in doing so, overcame an athlete who had previously defeated me earlier this year. This victory was a significant indicator of my personal progress. Following the competition, I participated in a five-day training camp that attracted over 1,000 athletes, further enhancing my skills and experience.
