Stuart is a Senior Nuclear Engineer (Electrical) supporting a Nuclear Design Authority, ensuring work conducted is compliant with design intent and nuclear licence conditions. Stuart is a member of Procedure Authorisation Groups to ensure CASD and SSN submarines return to service safe with the appropriate operational capability.

Stuart recently joined NESC after a 22-year career as a Marine Engineering Artificer with the Royal Navy Submarine Service, where his final role was teaching submarine systems to the next generation of submariners. After 2 years working in the mining industry in Cornwall Stuart is proud to be part of the NESC family. A keen radio ham, most of his spare time involves trying to stop his dog herding anything that moves.
