I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2023 with a degree in Geography & Ocean Science and recently completed my postgraduate degree in Environmental Consultancy. Initially uncertain about my career path, I attended a career fair, where I had the opportunity to meet Jim Harris, Managing Director. His enthusiasm for the company and the opportunities NESC offers to graduates resonated with me. I was particularly drawn to the company’s commitment for continuous development, professional support, and exposure to a diverse working environment.

I joined NESC at the end of September as a Graduate Safety Engineer, where I have begun specialised training to broaden my understanding of safety within the nuclear industry. The training is supported by highly skilled and experienced engineers, encouraging both technical knowledge and professional growth. The team at NESC has been exceptionally welcoming, which has made my integration into the company smooth and enjoyable. I am excited about the opportunities the company can provide as I continue to advance within the training. Outside of work I enjoy spending my time training and playing rugby for my local club, Saltash.
