James Hall

James has been a director of NESC since 2020 and was appointed as the Nuclear Assurance Director in 2024. In this role, James is ultimately responsible for the delivery of all client based projects that are undertaken by the Assurance Department, ensuring they’re delivered to the required time, quality and cost. He also provides leadership and direction to the team and is responsible for their professional development.

James joined NESC in 2014. Prior to this James worked for a couple of other nuclear safety consultancies undertaking work for a number of different clients. He now has over 20 years’ experience within the nuclear and defence industries. During this time, he has mainly been involved in and around the development, production, review and upkeep of high hazard/high consequence Safety Cases for a wide range of different facilities and operations at various civil and defence sites throughout the UK.
