Senior Mechanical Engineer Dan Shadbolt takes part in the Royal British Legion’s 5km charity run
Dan signed up to take part in the Royal British Legion 5K Poppy Run 2022. In addition to running the distance of 5k, he completed this while sporting a 10 kg weighted vest to up the difficulty, which was very generously provided by NESC Ltd.
By taking part in this challenge he raised funds to support the Royal British Legion. Their Poppy Appeal was founded to help those in need following a national crisis. Right now they are helping those who are isolated from family, facing homelessness, struggling to feed their children and are in financial crisis. They are working tirelessly to ensure that those who have served are being looked after no matter what challenges they, and the country faces.
