After a year out due to injuries, Max has returned to the Euro Stage to compete for the Latvia European Cup. This was his first event competing in a new weight class of -90kg, his previous being -100kg. This added a new and exciting challenge for him, but he didn’t waiver and proceeded to take the Bronze Medal which he is ‘unbelievably happy with’.
He says ‘This was a big moment for me, as it showed that even after the year I’ve had from my spinal and knee injury, I’ve managed to get the most out it and come out stronger.’ and we couldn’t be more pleased for him.
During the competition itself, Max won 3 fights and lost one, which he fought with heart and put in a good performance resulting in the Bronze.
Max has many more exciting events to prepare for and we are looking forward to following his career path!
